Spring is finally here! Well, at least the calendar says so! Mother Nature on the other hand is not on the same page this year. But regardless of what she is feeling it’s time to start thinking of warmer weather and brightening our homes for Spring. I have put together 5 easy ways ideas to add Spring decor to your home.
The Best thing you can do to add Spring decor to your home is to add color!
In the Winter we usually need a little break from color after the Holiday season. Personally I take a page out of Mother Natures book and incorporate white into my home to brighten it up on those cold gray days. Check out my post on 9 ways to incorporate Winter white into your home.
So now it’s Spring and it’s time for color! Tulips and Daffodils are coming up so lets bring those beautiful colors indoors.

This year I went with lots of colorful dishes. I picked up these cute little egg cups from the Target dollar spot, I love that dollar spot!
I also picked these dishes up at Target, they are small, colorful and perfect for a little Easter candy!
You can also use colorful books to add to the Spring decorating! I love these interior design books from Sarah Richardson, she is hands down my favorite designer of all time.
Changing out your pillows and throws is a great way to bring in colorful decor for the Spring. You can find some great deals on Amazon and at Ikea right now. My friend Melissa at Brown Dog Vintage picked up these pillows at Ikea and I just love the addition of green to her home.
Here are some others that I think are amazing too.
My friend Marly at A Brick Home did an amazing job of bringing fresh flowers into her home. This is by far my favorite way to incorporate Spring. This picture of her gorgeous vintage buffet with the flowers is just stunning. Not gonna lie, I already told her if she finds that cabinet missing she knows where to find it!!!
In my home I brought lots of flowers in too. Just a few florals in a vase or a single stem in a wine glass. Using flowers is a great way to bring in life and color.
I don’t think you should have different wall art for every season but I think you can change some things out every few months or so. My friend Natalie at Nelidesign is so talented with her computer. She is the one who created my new logo and she is a master of printables. For those of you that don’t know what that means, she creates graphic art that you can print, put in a frame and decorate your home! This one in particular is going up in my dining room!
Going back to Melissa at Brown Dog Vintage, she created some wall art for Spring on a budget! She was able to print these four large photos for only $21! Here is a look at two of them.
The first thing your guests see when they come to your home is the front porch. I believe a wreath on the front door is the best way to say welcome. Here are a few that I love!
If you want to you can DIY a wreath, it’s not that hard, you can totally do it! Here is a post from Maria at House by the Preserve. She took a wreath that she created last Spring and redid it for this year, 0 dollars spent friends! That is the best kind of decorating!!!
I didn’t do a full Spring Tour this year because I have been knee deep in Board and Batten. You can see my Board and Batten Box Molding in my Staircase and the Refinished Stairs. That was a long project! But it has made a huge impact on my house.
Next us is Board and Batten in the dining room! I have part of it up and it’s looking……well completely unfinished but I know it will be great! LOL!
