Plaid is definitely a staple during the Fall and Christmas Holidays, especially in my home. My husband loves anything plaid! So today I have put together lots of Plaid Christmas Ideas, incorporating a little Buffalo Check for my Farmhouse Style Friends!
From plaid flannel shirt to buffalo check tablecloths, you can’t go wrong during the holidays by incorporating a little plaid into your Christmas.
Last year I found some great plaid Christmas napkins right before the holidays and I can’t wait to plan my whole tablescape around them this year! Plaid is cozy, comfortable and inviting all at the same time. Using plaid in your home decor gives the feel of home, nothing stuffy or too formal.

A Plaid Christmas for the Family Room
I love the cozy feel of this family room by Cherished Bliss! As you can see, the plaid decor isn’t overwhelming, it’s just enough to welcome you. She added it to the ribbon on the Christmas tree, the blanket spilling out of the basket on the console table and in a pillow on the couch. Great places to add buffalo check and plaid Christmas decor to your family room.

A Plaid Christmas For the Dining Room
This inspiration photo by Worthing Court Blog says it all! You have plaid wrapped gifts, plaid dishes, and the cutest mugs. She also uses stripes in the ribbon holding the wreaths. Stripes are the first cousin to plaid don’t you know! 😊

A Plaid Christmas Entryway
What a lovely entryway by Worthing Court Blog. I love how cozy it looks with the blanket (look at the fuzziness on the inside!) and the plaid handbag really brings a lot of spirit to the entryway.
And this inspiration photo, by The Everyday Home Blog, with the plaid blanket, makes you want to sit and relax, doesn’t it!
Plaid on Wreaths
As you can see, you can use blankets in any space. I have also been very inspired to bring the blankets and pillows into my bedroom to add a little Christmas Spirit there.
Wreaths aren’t just for the front door. You can use them indoors on windows, like in the dining room inspiration photo. I also have a wreath on the inside of my front door.
Using plaid in the ribbon for your packages or to decorate your tree is another great idea! I love these choices here for tree skirts. Plaid just brings a feeling of home and hearth, doesn’t it? It’s the perfect decorating pattern to bring into your home this Holiday Season!
