Paint Colors for Small Bathrooms

Let’s get to all the amazing details!

Neutral White

Going with a neutral white paint color allows your fixtures and accessories to stand out. Here you can see how beautiful the vanity looks against the white backdrop!

A light color also makes a small space feel bigger.

Warm Beige

A warm beige color is like wrapping you in a warm hug. This color is perfect if you live in cold climates and need to add some warmth to a very cold room.

Dark Green

Green has really been having a moment. A bathroom painted a dark green will really be a dramatic room that your guests will talk about. It also brings in the feel of nature and is very grounding.

Green is also a great color because it’s almost neutral, which goes with just about any other color you can think of. You can see in the picture how nicely it looks with wood tones.

How to know if a paint color is right for you?

The best way to judge if a color is good for you is to put a swatch on the wall and look at it over a few days. Look at it in different lights and decide if you really like it.

You can do this by getting a sample from the paint store and using a brush to put it up on the walls, but then you are left with a can that you can’t do anything with. Those samples are used with poor-quality paint and aren’t meant for use on your walls permanently.

I recommend going with Samplize. They are a company that will send you a 12X12 peel-and-stick swatch of a paint color that you can stick to the wall. When you are done, just peel it off and throw it away.

It’s easy and much less messy!

If you have a little girl in your life she will love a blush pink bathroom! Honestly, most any woman would love it! It adds so much personality and looks fabulous with touches of black.

If you love a nautical look, give navy blue a try! Pairing it with lots of white keeps the room from feeling like a cave and adds the perfect backdrop for amazing accessories!

Black

Black is the ultimate look if you want a dramatic room. It can make a space feel small and cave-like so make sure you pair it with lots of white. If you are nervous, you can try an accent wall instead of painting the whole bathroom black.

Light Taupe

I love the color taupe. Taupe is a blend of brown and gray, giving it a very neutral look. It pairs with almost every other color out there because of its mix of warm and cool. I love it paired with gold fixtures and cool marble tile.

Dark Gray

Dark gray gives a dramatic look and is perfect if you want a modern or modern farmhouse look. It really pops next to white trim and white fixtures in the bathroom.

Teal

Teal is a mixture of blue and green, the perfect color for a bathroom! I love the way teal evokes the feel of the ocean and gives the room a very coastal feel.

Pale Gray

A gorgeous traditional bathroom would look amazing with a pale gray bathroom. The light color will really bring the light in and make the space feel bigger.

Sage Green

Like I said, green is having a moment, and sage green seems to be at the center stage. You can go with a light sage or a darker sage, like in the photo above. It really depends on how dramatic you want to be and probably how much natural light you have in the space.

Greige

Greige is the combination of gray and beige. If you like gray but it’s a little too cold, then look no further! Greige is a warm gray that will really help warm up a cold bathroom.
