How to Organize and Store Faux Flowers
When you’re rotating seasonal arrangements or simply putting away a few stems until you need them again, knowing how to organize and store faux flowers the right way will help extend their life and keep them looking just as stunning as the day you bought them.
Today, I am going to show you how I created a storage system for all my faux flowers for under $5!
How to Organize and Store Faux Flowers
I know all too well the struggle with storing faux flowers. I had some in a tall glass vase in my storage room and they got knocked over. Broke the vase and made a huge mess. That’s when I said I need a better system.
I decided they needed to get off the floor but where, and how?! I went to the dollar store and picked up these baskets for $1 each and created a system.

Cut out the bottom of the basket
The first thing I did was use my wire cutters and cut out the bottom of the basket. This is where the flowers are going to go through after I hang the basket on the wall!

Hang the baskets
I have these wood cabinets in my storage room. If you don’t have them, you can easily attach the baskets to a 2×4 piece of wood.

I went to my handy dandy coffee can of screws and picked out some that wouldn’t go all the way through the wood and damage the stuff on the inside of the cabinet. They I went to the can of washers and picked out a suitable washer.
You might not need a washer if your screw doesn’t go through the mesh of the basket. Mine did so I needed the washer.
Screw the basket into the wood with a drill or a screwdriver. You could also use a staple gun if you have one.
Would you like to save this?

Organize and hang your flowers
I gathered all my stems and laid them out on the floor. Yep, a total mess! But then I was able to gather them by season and put them through the holes in the bottom of the baskets and hung them on the wall.

Now I have them all hung neatly on the wall. If you are worried about dust settling on the flowers, you can take a trash bag and hang it upside down over the faux flowers to keep them clean.

Hang your wreaths
I did the same thing with all my wreaths. I hung them on the doors of the cabinets and on 2X4’s around the room.
After I did this I encouraged my mom to do the same thing. Once she went through everything and hung them all, she discovered she had 7 fall wreaths! LOL!!!
