Easy Ways to Use Fall Decor on the Front Porch

Sharing is caring!

As the crisp air settles in and the leaves begin to turn, there’s no better time to refresh your front porch for the cozy fall season. In 2025, fall front porch decor is all about blending timeless autumn charm with modern touches—think layered textures, warm color palettes, natural elements, and a welcoming vibe that greets guests before they even step inside.

This is by far my favorite time of year, and I just love to decorate my front porch. It’s the first place your guests see, and when you greet them with lots of seasonal goodness, then things just start off on the right foot.

Today I am sharing my front porch decor for fall 2025. I hope you love it!

Fall Decor on the Front Porch

There are a few elements I always go with when decorating my front porch. Here are the basics and you can use these ideas when you decorate your porch, no matter how big or small.

Add seasonal color with flowers.

The front of a house with orange mums in the forground and two flanking the front porch in black urns, a wreath on the front door and a fern to the left of the door with a welcome sign on the wall and pumpkins on the porch floor.

Here is the view of my porch as you walk up the path from the driveway. As you can see, I have three large mums bursting with fall color. I just took my summer flowers out of my urns and added the mums, leaving in the spiller foliage.

I also left the ferns in the planters that I built and had in all summer. They are looking a little tired this year. I had a lot going on this summer and caring for my plants took a back seat.

Layered Rugs

I love layering rugs on my front porch. The coir mats to the hard work cleaning off the bottoms of our shoes and the mat on the bottom just makes everything pretty!

Using different colors and patterns is a great way to add texture to your porch.

Add a Wreath

I always have a wreath on my front door. Nothing says welcome to our home better. This fall wreath I got at Kirkland’s a few years ago. Here is one that is very similar and is really pretty.

I like this one because it has a little bit of everything fall from the different colors of foliage, pumpkins, and gorgeous flowers.

Accessorize

Now comes the fun part! Adding the bling to your porch, or the jewelry, dare I say. On the bench, I have this gorgeous pillow I got at a local home store. Here is one that is very similar.

It’s fall so decorating with pumpkins just makes sense! I love adding pumpkins with different colors and textures.
