Use a box to display florals

I love this wooden box a friend made for me a few years ago. I love to add these mason jars with faux florals in them.
During other seasons I lay a garland in it that has decorative aspects to it like pumpkins, etc.
I plan to buy three statement plants (maybe orchids?) and put them in here for spring with moss on top to hide the pots.

Here is another view of the box in not a great picture but you can see how I put a navy blue runner underneath for an added touch of color.
Use a large statement piece

Sometimes bigger is better! I have this large lantern and putting that on the table and turning on the candles makes for a beautiful look, especially at night.
Another great option is to put a runner under the lantern or put it on a cuttingboard.
Add a decorative vessel with flowers

I love this pitcher I got from Target several years back. It’s so versatile and I hardly ever use it for a pitcher.
I have tons of faux florals that I switch out at different times of the year for different seasons.
Use a woven basket to corral decorative items

If you have smaller items you want to display it’s best to corral them in something like this woven basket. My Mom has a really big one she uses and I have this smaller one that is a little taller.
Use a tray to display items on a runner

Just like the basket using a tray is a good way to corral items. When I have two different colors of wood I like to put a table runner underneath to break up the different colors.
Would you like to save this?
Group in odd numbers

This is a rule for almost all decorating, always group in odd numbers. Threes and fives are best.
Here I have different size items that I have grouped together, making sure they are at varying heights.
A wooden vessel with flowers and/or candles on a runner

I love wooden bowls and vases and love to use them everywhere, especially in the dining room. This one holds this candle and greenery perfectly!
Again, because the wood in the bowl and the table are different I use a table runner to break them apart.
Use a cutting board to display decorative items

Cutting boards are good for so many things other than cutting food. There are great for displaying not only food (think charcuterie boards) but also for home decor!
By using a tray you can corral smaller items in one place.
