Blue gray paint is so calming and soothing, that’s why it’s one of the most popular colors to use in your home. The color psychology is real with this paint color.

I love to talk about paint colors and Behr has some really amazing shades that you should consider! I also love blue grays from Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams. If you love one of those colors you can have them color-matched at The Home Depot in your favorite Behr paint!

Best Behr Blue Gray Paint Colors

Okay let’s get into why you are here. These are the best blue gay paint colors from Behr and all the details on each one.

Absolute Zero

This is a swatch of Behr's Absolute Zero.

Absolute Zero is a gorgeous light blue paint color with a touch of gray undertones. This color reminds me of the interior of the front doors that I have seen on Instagram, no wonder it’s so popular.

This color has an LRV of 64 which makes it a bright color, but just barely. Don’t get me wrong, this color will definitely brighten a room but it also has a gorgeous depth of color that will contrast beautifully with white trim.

Adirondack Blue

This is a swatch of Behr's Adirondack Blue.

Adirondak Blue is in the gray color family but it has a gorgeous dusting of blue that I simply love. It has an LRV of 23 so it’s definitely a dark color.

Light Drizzle

This is a swatch of Behr's Light Drizzle.

Light Drizzle is a gorgeous blue paint color with gray undertones. It’s perfect for a coastal-inspired home.

It has an LRV of 64 which makes it a light paint color and will definitely brighten up a space. I like that it’s not too light though, it still has a touch of color that will be a good contrast to white trim or cabinets.

Blue Willow

This is a swatch of Behr's Blue Willow.

Blue Willow is definitely more blue than gray but it also has slight hints of purple in it! Don’t worry, your walls won’t look purple if you use this color, I promise!

It has an LRV of 40 which makes it mid-range but on the darker end of it. Because of this make sure your room has plenty of natural light if you plan to use it on all the walls.

Teton Blue

This is a swatch of Behr's Teton Blue.

Teton Blue is one of my favorites here. It has the look of the sky right before a big storm! Its gorgeous depth of color makes it a great color for accent walls or furniture/cabinets.

The LRV of Teton Blue is 31 which makes it on the darker end of the mid-toned range colors. It’s still light enough but dark enough that if you plan to use it on all the walls of a room make sure you have plenty of natural light.

Cumberland Fog

This is a swatch of Behr's Cumberland Fog.

Cumberland Fog definitely leans more blue than blue gray but don’t be deceived, it does have gray undertones. It’s a gorgeous muted sky blue color that would be perfect in a nursery or on a porch ceiling!

This color has an LRV of 68 which makes it a bright color. You can use this color anywhere as it will definitely bounce around a ton of light.

French Colony

This is a swatch of Behr's French Colony.

French Colony is a gorgeous blue color that has significant gray undertones. These gray undertones really mute the blue but not so much that it distorts the color. This one is one of my favorites!

French Colony has an LRV of 34 so it’s definitely on the darker side of the spectrum.

Norwegian Blue

This is a swatch of Behr's Norwegian Blue.

This color is so gorgeous! I love that it’s a little darker, LRV of 24, but it’s calming and would be a great color for any home.

Because Norwegian Blue has such a low LRV I don’t recommend using this on all the walls of a room unless you are going for dark and moody. I would stick with accent walls or furniture for this color.

You could use this on the exterior of a home and it would be gorgeous!

Charcoal Blue

This is a swatch of Behr's Charcoal Blue.

I do really love the darker blue gray colors and this one is another one of my fav’s! The name says it all, it’s a charcoal mixed with a blue.

This color has an LRV of 19 so it’s definitely dark. I would use this on accent walls, cabinets/furniture, and exteriors. If you really want a dark and moody bedroom or dining room this would be a great choice.

Prelude

This is a swatch of Behr's Prelude.

Prelude is a gorgeous blue gray paint color with subtle undertones of green. Those green undertones are very very subtle and most likely you won’t see them at all unless you pair this color with other items that are green, such as floors or curtains.

Prelude has an LRV of 47 which puts it pretty solidly in the mid-toned range. This color is great because it’s light enough to use in a whole room without being too dark but it’s got a gorgeous depth of color so it won’t feel close to white either.

Intercoastal Gray

This is a swatch of Behr's Intercoastal Gray.

The name, Intercoastal Gray, is the perfect name for this color. It’s definitely a gray but with enough blue that it makes you feel like you are looking into the ocean! This color would be perfect in a beach house or a home with a coastal vibe.

It has an LRV of 45 so it’s in the mid-range but getting on the darker side. It’s still safe to use on all your walls but make sure you have ample natural light.

Meteor Shower

This is a swatch of Behr's Meteor Shower.

Meteor Shower is a gray paint color that has blue undertones. It’s so beautifully muted that it almost looks like a neutral color rather than a blue gray color.

Meteor Shower has an LRV of 47 which means it’s a mid-toned color which is safe to use on all your walls or you can use it as an accent color on furniture or cabinets.

Classic Silver

This is a swatch of Behr's Classic Silver.

Classic silver is more on the gray side rather than blue. It’s definitely more muted but with an LRV of 48 it’s not a light color.

Because of the LRV I would say this color will give you good depth while still giving you a neutral base to start from.

French Silver

This is a swatch of Behr's French Silver.

This color is a lot like Classic Silver but on the opposite side. It’s more blue than gray but the gray undertones give it that muted look that makes it very neutral.

French Silver has an LRV of 50 which makes it a touch lighter than Classic Silver but really close.

Nautical Gray

This is a swatch of Behr's Nautical Gray.

Nautical Gray is part of the gray paint color family but as you can see it has a lot of blue undertones in it. It has an LRV of 56 which makes it a light, mid-toned paint color.

Hush

This is a swatch of Behr's Hush.

Hush is a gorgeous blue gray paint color that I personally really like. It has a good depth of color without being overpowering. I love that hit more gray than blue but in a different light, it could shine as a gorgeous blue color.

It has an LRV of 54 which makes it on the lighter side of the mid-range which is a great place to be if you want a bit of color but nothing too dark.

Dark Pewter

This is a swatch of Behr's Dark Pewter.

This stunning color definitely sits on the darker side of things with an LRV of 29 but its so gorgeous! I love that Dark Pewter is a gray color with hints of blue.

This color might be too overpowering in a room with little natural light but in a well-lit room, it would be stunning. It’s also great for furniture/cabinetry and accent walls.
