A Red and Gold Table Setting for Christmas

Sharing is caring!

The house is decorated, the gifts are wrapped and the table is set.  It’s time for Christmas!  Today I am sharing my Red and Gold Table Setting just in time for Christmas.

I have worked pretty hard on my dining room in the last year.  Here is what we have done:

  1.  Refinished the dining room table – see that post HERE.
  2. Painted the dining room chairs – see that post HERE.
  3. Installed Board and Batten – see that post HERE.
  4. Refinished the antique buffet – that post is coming soon!

With all that hard work I am loving decorating my dining room for the different holidays!  Today I am all about Red and Gold for my Christmas Table Setting.

Red and Gold Table Setting

Christmas Table Setting with Red tablecloth, green and gold garland and candles.

I decided to go bold in my dining room this year with lots of colors! I love to decorate with red this time of year so I dug out this read table cloth that I have had for years. (similar here) Then I used two different garlands, one in green with lots of pine cones on it and another in gold. (green garland and gold garland)

I added a white cake plate to elevate a large red candle and sprinkled in some IKEA candlesticks with white candles.

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room, that fold in the tablecloth.  I swear I have the hardest time getting some of the folds out!  If anyone has a great iron or steamer that they swear by PLEASE tell me what you use!  I need some help!!!

Here you will notice the cloth napkins I have under the smaller plate. I picked them up at my local small business, a place called Oakland Home. Here is a link to some that are very similar.

See the gold bottle?  That was a Christmas gift from my daughter.  She took a champagne bottle, painted the top and glitterified the bottom (Yes, that’s a word now! 😝)

Here are a couple of evening shots.  I just love the look in the candlelight!

I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.  Until next year, make Merry and be well!
