Simple Summer Tablescape Ideas
When it comes to summer entertaining, less is often more. Simple summer tablescape ideas can make a big impact without requiring a lot of time, money, or effort.
By using natural textures, light fabrics, and a few seasonal touches—like fresh flowers or citrus accents—you can create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for everything from casual cookouts to weekend brunches. It’s all about embracing the easygoing vibe of the season with style.
Simple Summer Tablescape Ideas
Today, I have 10 stunning tablescape ideas for summer that I think you will absolutely love! They are perfect for a quiet dinner at home or a party!
Simple Blue and Greenery
I love decorating with navy blue in the summer. It’s probably my favorite color for summer! This is a great example of how beautiful it can be and how well it pairs with other colors.
Navy goes amazingly well with both gold and silver hardware. I think the blueberries are a great touch! And it really pops with all the white.
Neutral Tablescape
Neutral is a great way to go too. It evokes a feeling of calm. It’s especially gorgeous when you have different textures.
For example, here we have the rattan placemats, white textured plates, and the linen napkins tied with twine. The capiz candle holder on the table also adds another level of texture.
Gorgeous Blue, Green, and White
This combination can be done in many ways. Here we have a darker blue with lime green and white. I also love it in navy, sage, and white.
One of my favorite things about this tablescape is the blue and white ginger jar with white hydrangeas. So beautiful!
Colorful Citrus

Nothing says summer quite like a super colorful tablescape. Bright peonies and roses paired with the gorgeous colors of citrus and dark green leaves are perfect!
I love the colorful placemats too, but notice that you can’t have it all colorful. The white plats and table with the simple blue and white vase calm everything down.
Elegant White
Nothing is more elegant than an all white table. All in white are the flowers, vase, napkins, and dinnerware. The addition of the greenery and neutral placemats only enhances the elegance of white.
Coastal Tablescape
Would you like to save this?
Coastal themes really get me. I am a total sucker for them. Here, the grass and rattan almost feel like Spartina grass swaying in the ocean breeze. Light blue candles, blue wine glasses, and the starfish really add to the theme.
Red, White, and Blue
If you are having a summer holiday get together it’s great to go red, white, and blue. I love the choice of colors for the floral arrangements, especially the blue hydrangeas.
The blue and white checkered tablecloth is great for summer and can be used in multiple color schemes. The polka dotted placemats are super fun!
A Succulent Tablescape
Pink and green are great colors to pair together. I love the painted terra cotta pots, pink placemats, and pink glasses.
Green eucalyptus on the table is really nice, but the star of the show is by far the many succulents on the table. I highly recommend using different shades of green, different sizes, and different textures.
Decorate with Terra Cotta
Here is another great use of terra cotta. I love how it’s paired with all the different colors. Terra cotta is an orange color and it looks so incredibly good with the blue chairs!
I also like seeing it with the greenery and the peach colored flowers on the table. Notice everything else on the table is either white or clear? Keeping the centerpiece as the focal point.
Boho Tablescape
If you love boho style, then this one is for you! Using different types of feathery pampas grass as the centerpiece screams boho! The texture on the pillow and silverware holder is also amazing!
An Edible Tablescape
If you are having a summer get-together, why not go full-on edible (centerpiece) arrangement?! This is great because it serves two purposes: a gorgeous centerpiece and food for the party!
A trick is to elevate some of the food, especially at the center. Having them at different elevations adds interest to the centerpiece.
