Best Colors to go with Dark Green

1. Dark Green with Dark Wood Tones

This is Narraganset Green by Benjamin Moore and you can see how well it pairs with a dark wood tone. Actually Dark Greens pair really well with just about all wood tones!

I think it has something to do with the earthy nature of both dark green and wood tones that make it such a great pair. I mean, look into a forest and let me know what colors you see!

2. Dark Green and Brown

Brown and Green are both very grounding colors. I really like how this camel color looks with dark green. The couch really stands out but doesn’t take anything away from the dark green.

You can also see how well the brown in the couch, green in the walls and white in the floors go together.

3. Dark Green and Gray

Gray pairs well with just about any other color and dark green is included in that. The countertop is white but the backsplash is a marble that looks gorgeous with this dark green on the cabinets.

I also love how the dark green pairs with the mixed metals here in the hardware and the oven.

4. Dark Green and Burgundy

When you pair dark green with burgundy you have something very luxurious! Just look at the photo here. Don’t you just want to snuggle in with a comfy blanket and good book?!

You have to be careful when pairing these colors though because you don’t want your room to become too cavernous. Keep one or the other (or both) in small doses.

5. Dark Green and Sage Green

You wouldn’t think of pairing two different greens together but as you can see it’s totally doable! I love the dark green on the walls with all the picture molding.

Then you have sage green on the upholstered furniture which is very sleekly designed. This modern living room is very welcoming with this color combination.

6. Dark Green and Orange

Dark green and orange are one of my favorite color combinations. This gorgeous table with dark green in the foliage and dark orange in the napkins is so pretty!

These colors are opposite on the color wheel which makes them perfect to pair together.

Another color combination that are opposites on the color wheel are dark green and mustard yellow. They pair really well together!

This house really stands out in this color combo. Even the plants and flowers stand out with it!

8. Dark Green and Pink

What a classic way to pair these colors. I love using light pink or blush accessories against a dark green wall. The touches of black in the space also keep the feel of the room very grounded.

9. Dark Green and Black

Black in any room instantly elevates the level of sophistication. That’s why its perfect to use! I love pairing it with dark green because dark green is also a sophisticated color.

Here you can see how well dark green goes with the black accents, wood tones, and gray stone on the exterior of a home.

10. Dark Green and White

Like black, white goes perfectly with anything. Here with white on the top of the wall above green wainscoting.

Using white with such a dark color like in this photo is perfect because it keeps the room light and prevents the dark color from taking over.

11. Dark Green and Gold

Dark green and gold are a lot like pairing dark green with yellow. I love using this color combo in a kitchen or bath. Using gold hardware on dark green cabinetry really shows off both colors.

This also elevates the look of your home adding a ton of style.
